in 1986 Grant and i were married.
almost 28 years ago.
give or take.
wink.
{i count the years we were separated}
after Grant and i got back together almost 2 years ago my true Christy gave me a gift to remind me of our love and the years we have together.
in a sea of ruffles and other pillows it sits.
it's my favorite.
it is the coordinates to where were married.
i love everything about this pillow.
the reminder that we chose each other.
the reminder to work hard each day to make it work.
also, that my true knows me well enough and has stood by me through it all, and that it is from her.
i love it's simple design and deep meaning.
after Christy gave it to me i etched the coordinates into my heart.
Valentines after 27 years can be a challenge.
i think husbands can be hard to get for.
how many golf shirts can i buy my Mr.?
so this year i wanted to do something that would be a reminder of where we started and after lots of ups and downs we choose to be together.
one of my favorite projects from my latest workshop Spark your Love & Home was this gold canvas.
i am giving to my Mr. as one of his Valentine Prezzies!
it's simple design is what i love most about it.
here's how to create one for your lovey.
Gather:
Art Canvas
Gold Spray Paint {or any color you love}
Stickers{i needed 2 sets}
{American Crafts Thickers work the best you're going for dimention}
{the material doesn't matter, they can be plastic, chipboard, foam or whatever!}
{or a strong wet adhesive}
Step 1:
Find the coordinates of a special address, it could be your first date, first kiss, where you got engaged or location of where you where married!
Step 2:
Lay out your coordinates to get a feel for your design and placement. Even though you're using stickers I reccomend you using a strong wet glue to adhere them down.
{I use Glossy Accents, it's my favorite wet adhesive for all types of materials.}
Step 3:
Let your stickers dry completely before you spray paint.
Spray Paint your canvas,either outside or in a well ventalated place!
I love this dirty Gold i found at one of my local dollar stores, Family Dollar it's a great color and is $3 win win!
i use plastic table cloths from the Dollar Store to cover my surface, they are cheap and i can use it a few times then throw away!
This project is so simple and yet so meaningful.
my Mr. is going to love it.
i love it.
with just a few days away this is the perfect gift to create.
now off the the posty sending some Valentines to my kids!
Happy Wednesday!
Kiss kiss

Hi! So excited to do this project. Thanks for sharing it. Question, why do you have three numbers for north and three for west? When I put in. Mine it comes up with two numbers each and the second has a decimal and a bunch more numbers..... This is way beyond my knowledge..... Any suggestions?

Denise,
I think every address's coordinates are different. So if it's what pulled up for you go with it!
