Things that go bump in the night...
I love Halloween...
I loved it as a child and loved it when my kids were little...
Always a big deal at my house...
lots of traditions...
When I was a child our family would make homemade suckers...
Orange pumpkins with lifesaver eyes, corn candy nose and a licorice string for the mouth...
My Mother would make the sucker mix and pour it's boiling hot mixture onto a granite slab that was just for Halloween suckers...we all had our jobs and had to place the candy quickly onto the sucker before it hardened...
My favorite job...
Candy corn nose...
Halloween was always a special time, the house was decorated, neighborhood trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins, and cooking the seeds, to the costumes.
When I had my own children I tried to carry on some of the same traditions...I spent hours making costumes, being a room mother, doing parties, playing games and decorating...
I love Halloween...
So why am I talking Halloween in July?
Let me introduce you to
Toil & Trouble...
the latest from The Girls' Paperie...
owls, bats, spiders and skulls...
Bewitching Hour...Ghost Story...Midnight Flight...Parlor Paper...
Toil & Trouble and The Writing on the Wall...
How about some tricks and treats to go with the papers?
Sticker Market, alphas, words, borders and journaling...
All the goodies to complete the perfect Halloween projects...Traditional colors with a hit of green, Vintage in feel...
Glitter, bling, black lace and even a ruler to measure your waistline when Halloween is done...
i love Halloween...
So designing a Toil & Trouble was so much fun...
i hope you love it...
More sneaks to come...
Happy Halloween...{in July}

Holy Macaroni and Cheese! I don't normally like Halloween lines but this absolutely fabulous and versatile! Love, love, love it!
One of my favorite halloween memories was my mom would do a huge "cauldron" of dry ice and dress up as a witch in front of our house. And when my sister and I were finished trick-or-treating we would come home and watch the full-length version of Michael Jackson's, "Thriller," and gorge out on our goodies.

Ooohhh, FUN papers & goodies!!!
The memories ... I'm remembering the many times my mom had my brother dress up as a female of some sort - he had a head of beautiful curls, long eyelashes - made a great 'girl'! lol I was always envious of his hair - though now he has almost none & I still have lots of straight hair. lol Ok, that's TMI ... lol

Oh LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Halloween is my favorite! If I could get away with it, I'd sent out Halloween cards instead of Christmas, but, society frowns on that, so I just settle for making things for my house!
