i can't believe it's already mid June.
i live for Summer.
live for it.
today was the perfect day.
big blue skies.
hot hot sunshine.
makes me so happy.
today i sat by the pool for an hour.
don't worry. i wear a HUGE hat.
and sunscreen the heck out of my face.
i was blessed with good skin.
that like me,
loves the sun.
this Summer is going by WAY too fast.
last weekend we spent the most glorious weekend with friends.
only a few hours away from home but it felt like a million miles.
it was such a relaxing weekend.
we ate amazing food.
we lounged in the sun.
we talked and laughed.
we watched movies.
Father's Day cards for daddys!
best time ever.
i love these amazing friends in my life.
so grateful for them.
it felt so good to get away with them and our Mr's.
time with friends.
time with each other.
Sunday was Father's Day.
after a huge ebelskeiver breakfast G and i made for the group we cleaned up and headed home.
back to reality.
i got a call from my Mom telling me that my Dad was in the ER again.
his lungs filled with liquid.
we rushed to get there.
after 4 hours in the ER they drained his lung.
2 quarts of liquid.
he couldn't breathe.
my heart aches.
we are not sure how much more time we have.
we are going to savor each minute.
he's had a great life.
married to my Mom for 61 years.
fought in World War 2.
Served 3 LDS Missions, One alone and 2 with my Mom.
raised 6 kids. 2 natural born and 4 adopted.
served as a LDS Bishop and Patriarch.
was the Attorney General of the State of Utah 2 terms.
loves his Family, Gospel, Country and BYU football.
he's my greatest example.
i have had him for 47 years.
i am grateful.
i am reminded each day the sun comes up.
