Late afternoon Friday i met up with one of my dear friends Shelley for a late lunch at one of our favorite places and a little shopping at Nordys.
love this girl.
i loved it.
just the two of us laughing, talking and creating.
CRAZY but even in my spare time i love doing something creative.
we had a fun afternoon and toped the night off with Mexican food.
the food was delish, the decor darling and Chelsea got some really fun gifts. I loved spending the afternoon with my girls. so grateful we are friends!
Yesterday i woke up early to the sunshine streaming into my window! i rolled over realizing it was Mother's Day so let myself sleep in. What a treat.
G and i had a lazy day just the two of us. G let me sleep in we made a salad for dinner at my Moms' and layed on a blanket in the sun my idea of perfect.
Max had to work and Griff is living and working in Idaho, i missed spending time with my boys.
the girls came over with funny cards and yummy gifts! They know me so well! New sandles, HOT pink toe polish, lipstick, lotion and bath goodies!
Saturday while we were at Target shopping for our shower gift there were tons of people looking at Mother's Day cards gasping at the cost. I told Meg just give me $5 and not a card jokingly...
in her gift there was a $5 gift card to Target! so much better than a store bought card! i laughed and laughed.
Sunday afternoon we went to my Mother's house for dinner we all brought food and the weather was so beautiful that we had our first of many Sunday dinner's outside on her beautiful pation and back yard.
My Mother's gardens are amazing. i love that at 84 it's still important to her to have a beautiful yard and home and she takes such great care fo everything and puts so much love into everything she does. What a great example!
for Mother's Day I made her a Junque Corsage, a stack of handmade cards
and the sweetest little mini book filled with photos of her kids and grandkids. I love handmade gifts. This morning she called me in tears grateful for the photos and the words written. You can't buy that in a store...
Yesterday was one of the best Mother's Days in a long time. My sweet husband treated me like a queen gave me a sweet and thoughtful gift that i can't wait to use!
not the best photo, but for the last few years alone i haven't filled my big outdoor pots with flowers. They are my favorite. Single i just didn't do it, and i missed them dearly. For Mother's Day he gave me a small pot of flowers and in the center he created a $$$ flower, so that i could go fill my flower pots with him! i love this gift. i love that he thought it out and gave me someting i will LOVE. and most of all i love that he googled how to fold a paper flower using $$$.
now i am going to start thinking of what i can do for him for Father's Day.
Just a month away!
just as a reminder! i am writing the bazzill blog every Friday sharing fun ideas, DIY's and tutorials! i am having so much fun doing it!
i am one lucky girl.
and a husband i love.
the sun is out.
the skies are bluer than blue.
Let the Sun Shine!
