hello Tuesday.
blogging from SUNNY St. George Utah today!
i hope you all had a beautiful, fun filled long weekend!
On Saturday my family celebrated the life of my Mother's Brother George.
he will be missed.
but he is free from the pains of MS and standing tall again.
it was a beautiful service.
My Mother is the only girl in her family.
She has 3 brothers.
growing up she had lots of friends.
friends that were her "sisters"
she has a group of friends that she went to elementary school with that each month get together and have lunch. They call themselves the "ensign girls." These women are 84 years old and have maintained this beautiful friendship for years! Decades!
i love the idea of this.
i love her example of having friendships.
my friendships have always been important to me.
if you know me well or have taken a class from me or just know me in my everyday life, you know that i call the women i come in contact with Sister.
it's not a "church" thing although LDS women call each other sister.
for me, it's an endearment.
i do believe we are all sisters.
we are all connected.
i love being connected.
making connections.
having old friends.
new friends.
my circle of friends just growing all of the time.
i know i have said it many times here on my blog that in the last few years it was the women in my life that got me through.
i have had some lonely times.
i have leaned on my sisters.
my friends.
recently there has been a shift in my life.
i have my Mr. back.
he and my family are my number one priority.
my real and true friends still love and support me.
support us.
i know the friendships that i have are a gift.
i know that i am blessed and have my dear friends.
friends that if i don't see for a time still know me. love me.
regaurdless of the miles apart the friendship never changes.
friends that have i have been friends with for years.
this friendship has been going since jr high. highschool, marriage, divorce, 9 children between us and it continues today.
i have a group of friends that i call my "Trues."
they are the friends in my everyday life.
a constant.
i post pictures of them on instagram or Facebook often.
we spend a lot of time together.
i have had so many ask what it a "True"
or how can i become a "True?"
well,
here's the answer.
be a true friend.
be loyal.
be kind.
be unconditional.
we do have a special friendship.
i know that it is rare.
it's not a club.
it's just a name i coined for this group of friends.
these women my friends, love me.
i don't have to worry about who i am with them.
how i look.
be afraid with.
i love having friends.
i love making new friends.
i love the idea of women loving and accepting each other.
just for who we are.
i know that it is a blessing.
as my life has seen trials it has been these women in my life that have carried me through.
the past few days i have had these friendships on my mind.
in my heart.
i feel greatful that i have so many true friends.
i love being a true friend to them too.
i love supporting them in the good and the bad.
support their joy, their happiness.
share with them all that i have to give.
a very dear friend asked me to share with you a give away.
so i get to share with one of you sisters today!
Sasha was chosen from the amazing response that was left on Friday's blog post!
I read each one of your entries!
in return share Project life and it's amazing concept with a friend!
I have never tried scrapbooking before! So Project Life album must be the least intimidating and the most beautiful way to start! :)

LOVE THIS. I, too, am blessed to have trues in my life - friends for more than 20 years with whom we've shared the good, the bad, and yes the ugly. ALways accepting and loving - they are a TRUE gift in my life. So glad you have them too!
ps - hoping for a real-life-in-person-spark sometime this year - but please give us a hint so I can plan the budget!!

What a beautiful post Margie! I feel the same way about my good friends that I've know since grades school. We have been there for each other through the good and the bad. I am also very blessed to have met beautiful souls such as you and Chrissy via IG. I too believe we are all connected, and I treasure all my sister friendships whether they are new or over 30 years old. XO.

You never cease to amaze me. Your words...the hit home, they hit the heart. Blessed to call you friend and sister! Love the words I read here today...I have a group too...my BFF's. They are so important to me. They get me through to. It is a wonderful thing when you can just be who you are and know that no matter what you are loved. It truly is a blessing. P.S. SO so so happy for you and Grant. Love that the two of you found each other again. Makes my heart happy! Love ya!
