this morning i woke up to another amazingly beautiful Fall day out my window.
the sky blue the leaves on the trees are almost gone.
the sun is shining.
perfection.
i love a beautiful Fall day in Utah.
my Mr. got up early he has to go to Idaho for the day.
i laid in bed for a few minutes.
read email.
looked at instagram.
cought up with my Monday life.
made mental note of what i need to get done today.
i love mondays.
this week i will be home all week.
i have some house projects i want to get done.
yesterday i spent the entire day in my garage.
the girls came over.
we de-junked an entire van load.
in the Spring we will have a garage sale.
we organized.
they took some of their own stuff home.
i organized Spark stuff.
Girls' Loft stuff ready for the Virtual Garage Sale we will be having in the next week or so.
my Mr. hung all my lampshades for me.
he's brilliant.
he made a delicious Roast dinner for us.
it was a long day, we worked our butts off.
having a nice Sunday dinner together was a great reward.
i can't believe it's November.
November 5th already!
last week i was the normal crazy.
i went up to Idaho with Grant to see Christy and celebrate her birthday.
i met her at her new house in the country.
she was late.
{of course}WINK.
so Ben put me to work in her studio.
it was fun to see the progress she and Ben have made.
we had lunch and spent the afternoon talking.
perfection.
it's been fun to be able to see her when i am at Grant's house in Idaho.
Thursday was Halloween and i hosted my traditional Halloween dinner & Trick-or-treat with the girls.
i make chili and pumpkin chocolate chip muffins.
we dress up.
meg said i couldn't be a witch again so i had to pull costumes for my Mr. and I out of a hat.
{so to speak}
i decided on Pirates.
i went to my local thrift store and bought Grant some black pants and a white shirt.
i tore them up.
then to Walmart for bandanas, eye patches and a yard or striped fabric.
i had the rest.
for less than $20 we had our costumes.
pretty cute i think.
Brooke was Madonna.
looked great!
Meg and Jeremy were amazing!
Meg did such a great job on their make-up.
together we all looked pretty great.
i love traditions.
i love that we all made the effort.
it was a lot of fun.
Friday morning i got up early to get ready for another trip back up to Idaho.
this time to surprise Christy.
Ben her husband and i planned a little surprise from the trues.
Chrissy, Jamie and i drove to Idaho for a surprise weekend together.
Ben & i secretly planned it.
Rhonna had to bow out at the last minute to stay home.
we really missed her.
a road trip with my trues was just what we all needed.
once we got to Idaho we hid in her studio and Ben dropped her off and we surprised her.
we spent the day talking. eating. shopping.
that night we went to Christy's son's football game then to the hotel where we talked into the early morning.
Saturday we had a beautiful breakfast then we went shopping.
Ben even gave us some mad money to spend.
the day was perfect.
the friendship i have with these women is amazing.
i am blessed that they are in my life.
that we are true friends.
the trip was what we all needed.
to share our sorrows.
and our joys.
we got home Saturday night, back to our families.
me to my Mr.
my friendship cup filled to the brim.
feeling so grateful.
blessed in so many ways.
with Thanksgiving just a few weeks away each day i am going to take some time to be grateful for all that i have.
to recognize it.
to doccument it.
a husband i adore.
a beautiful family.
friends that are true.
a home i love.
an amazing job i love.
life is good.
especially when you count your blessings.
happy Monday.
