wow.
it seems like my blog is at the bottom of my list.
it's not.
i've just been insane busy this summer.
i had no idea at the beginning of the summer that i was in for a wild ride.
june started off prepping for CHA summer.
all the lines were complete and ready to show.
i sat by the pool.
soaked up the sun.
who knew June 30th my life would be turned upside down.
not me.
but.
i am beyond happy.
content.
chasing my tail at top speed.
but happy.
here's what i've been up to.
after coming home from CHA and Arizona G got home from his Harley ride.
the reunion was so sweet.
i missed him so much.
being together is my top priority.
two Fridays ago we helped with our niece Amy's wedding.
she had created everything for it.
it had to be one of the sweetest sights watching her marry her Mr.
she had her vision for what she wanted her special day to be and it was amazing.
every little detail was thought out.
she was stunning.
he was dapper.
the venue beautiful.
the food delish.
i loved every bit of it.
from the sunglasses sitting on each chair to the hand tied garlands to the waffle truck.
well done Amy & Danny.
Congrats and much love!
this is a photo taken 24 years ago and the day of Amy's wedding.
these cousins all born in 1986 just two months apart from each other.
Jason & Liz, Meg & I and Amy and Laura.
what a fun day.
After Amy's wedding we loaded in the car and drove to Idaho to another wedding.
this time to the daughter of one of our dearest friends while we lived there.
again.
the bride was stunning.
the Groom was dark, tall and handsom
the food amazing.
i think everyone but me ate plenty of sushi.
the colors were bright.
seeing old friends was so much fun.
there were cupcakes and dancing.
it was delight.
we stayed the night in Idaho and got back in the car Sunday and drove back home.
what a fun weekend filled with family, friends and lots of love.
then on wednesday we did it again.
we jumped into the car and drove.
and drove.
we headed to arizona to help and be at Brooklyn's wedding.
i love Arizona.
we haven't lived there for over 10 years.
but.
when i go back no matter how many times i have been there it feels like home.
i love the red rock.
the palms.
the sunshine.
i love a good road trip.
the girls came with us.
we shopped.
we ate at our favorite places.
we sat in the sun.
we helped set up for the wedding.
the bride was stunning.
what a beautiful dress.
the food amazing.
the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake ever.
the flowers were amazing.
it was hot.
but it was so worth going.
we had a great time.
the ride home sunday was long.
it was hot.
we stopped a million times.
to take photos.
to shop the native american stands along the way.
it was a long day.
but we made it home.
this week we are moving brooke to a new apartment.
grant fixed the brakes on my car.
put in a new alternator in brooke's car last night.
and it's only Wednesday...
so, 3 weddings...
and i haven't killed anybody yet.
hahaha.
what a crazy summer.
so far.
we still have a few weeks left in August...
wink.
i am happy.
life is good.
i feel blessed.
beyond measure.
