i don't know what it is about Arizona.
the blue skies?
monsoon season?
desert landscape?
red sunrises?
tia rosas?
the minute i see the red rock i feel at home.
but alas,
i am home.
back in Utah.
back to the colorful Town House.
back in my studio.
back where my kids are.
sleeping in my own bed.
home.
Creative Escape was amazing.
what a wonderful event.
so much work goes into it.
i had a great time.
seeing old friends.
making new ones.
feeling inspired.
it was great to re-connect with friends i have loved and taught with for years.
getting to go to Ali's class was such a treat for me.
i have never had the opportunity because we have always been teaching at the same events.
i loved her class.
loved listening to her words.
her love for scrapbooking.
Sunday i took a few hours to finish her class project.
i love it.
it was so much fun getting to be a student.
maggie and i had a ball.
we are one.
lauging.
she will know what that means.
She has a new website.
it's amazingly beautiful.
i love it.
designed by Moselle.
she has some really fun things planned for it.
Saturday night Heidi ended Creative Escape with an amazing, heartfelt farewell, and reminder of why we scrapbook.
she did a fabulous job.
i sat in tears listening to her.
tell her story.
reminding me of what it is i do.
why i do it.
why i love it so much.
just how lucky i am i do what i do in an industry filled with creative, beautiufl women.
wow.
what a great week in Arizona.
my home.
away from home.
loved spending time with lorie.
her family.
the master.
getting to sit in the Arizona sunshine.
go into Bazzill.
meet with my team.
feel apart of something great.
so today.
i am sitting here in my studio.
looking around at years of memories.
feeling grateful for so many things.
missing Arizona.
but happy to have gotten to go.
Happy Wednesday.
