I'm Just a girl

Today was just what I needed.

Today I spent the day with April. We got together to Spark. We were up to our elbows in Mod Podge all day. Just the way I like it. I am so excited for Spark No. 3. We have great teachers. We have big plans for the decor. We have some amazing sponsors. creative partners. Friday we are hosting a Soiree at Dear Lizzie one of our Creative Partners. If you are a Local Spark Sister come! If you are interested in getting to know what we are about come! It's going to be a great time. Today was great. I love being creative. I love making stuff. If refuels me. Spark Soiree at Dear Lizzy

We are getting so excited for Spark this year! We decided to have a Soiree at Dear Lizzie like we did last year. Everyone is invited. Please come. Mingle. Laugh. Eat a cupcake and start the sparking!

taking risks.

first of all i can't begin to say how grateful i feel.

the support that has been given to me has be overwhelming.

i spent so much of the weekend just replying to comments, email and messages of well wishes and love.

wow.

a dear friend sent me an e-mail today and she reminded me of what really is important in life.

family.

and

friends.

i am blessed.

i have amazing children.

i have an amazing supportive family.

i have the best friends in the world.

no.

universe.

some that are so close to me and have been there for me on a daily basis.

in the last few months sometimes it has been an hourly thing.

although the events of last week were incredibly painful i am at peace.

i can breathe.

not walking on a eggshells.

when i left The Girls' Paperie i took a huge risk.

gave up something i loved.

thought i was trading something great for something greater.

6 months later i am starting over.

today i am getting on a plane.

heading to CHA.

i am anxious.

who knows what the future has in store.

what i do know is i am not ever going give up doing what i love.

so off i go.

chin up.

be brave.

take another risk.

that's what this thing called life is all about.

tomorrow is a new day.

life isn’t easy.
when we face hard things we find out just how strong we are.
the authentic people in our lives will always be there.
when the music has stopped.
the parade is over.
you can look around and the people who mean the most to you are there holding your hand.
sometimes carry you.
for the last few months i have relied heavily on my family and friends to be by my side.
i have faced many challenges.
i have been so unhappy.
i have felt stuck.
faced trials.
i know that there will be more.
that is life.
yesterday was one of those days.
i will no longer be part of the Authentique team.
it just wasn’t the right fit for me.
i am proud of the job i did there.
the product I concepted and help create is beautiful.
the graphic designers i was fortunate enough to work with were amazing.
i am looking forward to  the future and the projects i am working on right now.
i love what i do.
and will continue to do it.
i am grateful to my family.
to my friends.
those with integrity.
my true.

it's Monday...

This week is going to be a little insane.

what's new?

I leave for CHA Saturday.

Doing Studio 5 on Wednesday.

I will be Teaching while I am in Chicago for CHA at Creative Cuts and Crafts.

Really looking forward to teaching with the new Authentique lines.

It's a Wednesday.

How does it happen.

i am just getting old.

i remember when i was a kid time felt like it stood still.

i waited for Christmas.

i waited for Summer.

and now it feels like it was just Christmas.

and it is Summer.

what the heck?

Florida was a blast!

going to Whim-so-doodle is always fun.

we had the best time.

i love taking my girls with me.

Jill and her daughters are the best hosts.

WhimSoDoodle is such a fun store.

such great customers.

fun women.

creative women.

i had a ball re-connecting with old friends.

meeting new ones.

not a bad gig.

love it.

taught with the Girls' Paperie for the last time in a store.

bittersweet for me.

i love lines.

they are part of a very special, unique time in my life.

the product is almost gone.

i have a stash.

Friday i will be posting about selling off the last of the kits.

The 4th of July at our house has always been a family day!

this year no different.

the boys came down from Idaho for the weekend.

Brooke came up from Provo.

we sat by the pool.

we BBQed.

we just hung out.

it was great.

on the 4th we went down to my brother's house for a traditional Romney celebration.

Parade {we didn't go to, too early!} huge BBQ with the family, and swimming.

there was lots of eating.

lots of talking, catching up with my nieces who are married and live away.

sitting in the shade drinking homemade rootbeer and eating Yevon's famous homemade icecream.

the food was out of control.

wink!

perfect day.

i loved being with my kids.

for me it's what it's all about.

spending time with my kids and the people i love most.

celebrating freedom.

it was a great day...

i hope your 4th was filled with family, friends and the things you love most.

i know i need to remind myself to take more.
