i love the heat of the desert...

today i was lucky enough to have gotten to hang out with Em Falconbridge who is here visiting our friend Liz Eaton...

Lorie and i had lunch with them today...

we chatted, sat outside and ate Tia Rosas...

divine...

it was so much fun to see em...

catch up...

and to see Liz's new house and all the remodeling they have done...

see her studio where she creates amazing art...

i bought a charm from her...

tomorrow i hop a jet plane to South Africa...

another one of my favorite places in the world...

Love the country...

i am so looking forward to this trip...

i am lucky enough to have been there before...

each time it is so different...

this time i am going with Tim & Mario...

i am excited...

it's an amazing opportunity...

i feel humbled...

grateful...

i get to go because i am a scrapbooker...

Last weekend at Remember When was a blast...

what a fun group of women who came out to the Crop and all day workshops! 

50 Crazy ladies made birdcages...

it was a blast...

Tonya was quite the host...

and she provided me with my own man-servant...

Thanks JP for the hospitality and hauling me to and fro...

one day he will be a HUGE actor...

i will say "i knew you when..."

lol

The store was amazing...

what a beautiful crop room...

amazing product...

i left a few of my own dollars there that's for sure...

so many fun women...

old friends...

and new friends...

had a great time...

this weekend i am heading to Florida...

Wednesday...How did that happen?

Back from Canada...

it was a great event...

Trudy and her gang put on a great show...

the product looks great...

and it's so dang COLD in Canada the women there are WARM and kind and generous...

it was fun seeing a bunch of my friends in a smaller venue...

get to chat...

hang out...

laugh...

and this time i did a little crying...

i had some really sweet conversations with different women...

i am so amazed by the kindness of scrapbookers...

so grateful to hear their stories...

so many were happy to see me back in Canada...

happy...

doing what i love...

it was good to see some of the women from Canada that I have met over the years doing this event...

so kind...

it was also fun to meet some new friends...

teach at Scrap-a-lot...

the girls there were great...

LOVE...

it was cold...

but i had a ball...

got to hang a little with Tim & Mario...

Frani and Mona from Bazzill...

those women are wise...

and a hoot to boot...

now i am getting ready for California...

and Florida the week after...

excited about all the upcoming events i will be teacing at...

for the rest of March...

wich is half over mind you...

this weekend I will be at Remember When in Valencia!

looking forward to some SUN...

Next weekend I will be at SHE Scrapbooks again!

I LOVED it there! So excited to be going back...

So Florida and Sunshine...I say YES!

exciting news!

my Winter lines at the Girls' Paperie start shipping today!

i am so excited!

i can't wait for YOU to get your hands on them...

i LOVE seeing what YOU  create with them...

so inspiring...

this past weekend i spent a lot of time scrapbooking...

{i had to work in the kitchen because my studio is a wreak}

creating layouts...

i have to say 2 page 12x12 layouts ar NOT my specialty...

i struggle...

i am a 81/2 x11 scrapbooker...

so 12x12 is a football field for me!

lol...

i created some fun layouts though...

excited to be teaching my first classes this week in Canada!

Canadians want layouts!

so layouts it is!

this weekend i went out with one of my oldest and best friends from High school...Anjeanette...

she is one of the funniest, great people that i know...

it was fun to dress up go out,  talk and laugh...

her sister Jube came with...

we had a ball...

it's crazy to say, and it makes me feel old, but we have been friends for over 30 years!

love that...

i love the weekends...

that will be my last weekend home for the last time in a little while so it was good to fill it...

Sunday i had dinner with my boys...

the girls had a sleepy last night here with me...

we watched a movie, made cookies and stayed up way too late...

all good stuff...

Thursday i leave for Canada!

this week is FULL...

full to the brim...

the next few months are FULL...

teaching workshops all over the country...

in April i will be in South Africa for two glorious weeks...

i can't wait to go back...

i love it there...

i love the women...

i love Glenda and her team...

i am going with Tim & Mario...

we are going to have a blast!

all because i scrapbook...

i actually have to get dressed today for a meeting at 2:00, i don't think my Monday "norm" will do...

i have met some amazing amazing women in the industry i get to work in...

last September i got a call from Paige...

She said Jo Packham would like to meet you...

i have followed Jo for years...

love the women that she has let us peak into their creative lives...

i don't want to say i "worshiped" but let me say...

Getting to know Jo has been a treat...

not only is she brilliant...

she has a great smile...

she has a generous heart...

and dang the girl has some rockin glasses and killer hair!
