After months of working on and keeping this under my hat, so to say...I am beyond excited to announce my newest adventure, partnership and honestly a dream come true...
I have joined the Advantus family and will be releasing my first signature product lines at CHA Winter {twenty ten} under the brand,
I am so excited to have the opportunity to be working with Advantus and have created two beautiful lines of Scrapbooking and Paper Crafting products. As a long time scrapbooker and paper crafter it has been so much fun to design product that I would want to create with and hope you will too.
The Girls' Paperie has been a labor of love. Love of beautiful color, textures and materials to create with. If you know much about me I am an all or nothing girl...I have put my all into these lines and feel so grateful to my amazing team of Graphic Designers who worked for hours on end to help me create these lines so we could make it to CHA Winter {twenty ten} To my family for supporting me with all my creative adventures this year! Their patience with me is amazing! I especially want to thank my dear friends who have known about this, supported, boosted up when I didn't think it was possible to do one more thing you were there for me...Tim thank you for your constant friendship and support I can't wait to work along side the master...Laughing...To my Spark sisters Rhonna and Liz, thank you for the constant pushing me and telling me YOU can DO IT...LOVE you...To my daughters Meg & Brooke, thank you for being not only my business partners at The Girl's Loft but for being my best friends too I LOVE the time we spend together...Finally to my two best friends, in Arizona and Gladys in Farmington...You are always at my beck and call...Love you both so much in such different ways...
Again...Over and over again I am so excited and grateful to get to do what I love, it blows my mind that it is my job...I love love love it that much...
All because a girl like me likes to play with paper and glue...

Jacksonville, FL – January 5, 2010 – Margie Romney- Aslett, a well-known designer and teacher in the scrapbooking industry, in collaboration with Advantus Corp. will launch a new line of fashionable scrapbooking products, under the brand The Girls’ Paperie, at the 2010 CHA Winter Show in Anaheim, CA. The line will include a variety of papers, stickers and other scrapbooking products.
Margie has been working in the scrapbooking industry for 10 years and is excited to be launching her own line of products. “My love affair with paper began when I was just a girl delivering papers for the Salt Lake Tribune. Arts and crafts classes and projects, and eventually scrapbooking, all fed my passion of walking the aisles of stationery stores, admiring the textures, colors and patterns of beautiful papers. I am beyond excited about this new opportunity to partner with Advantus to design signature paper and product lines, a dream come true for this paper girl. At The Girls’ Paperie I hope to deliver product that is of the highest quality, beautiful, trend forward and easy to use. I hope that you will love The Girls’ Paperie just as much as I do.”, says Margie.
Margie, and The Girl’s Paperie, will join the other Advantus brands, including Cropper Hopper, Tim Holtz Ideaology and AMM (formerly All My Memories). Erica Maron, Vice President of Advantus’ Craft and Hobby Division, said “We are excited to get behind The Girls’ Paperie brand and help build it. We look forward to continuing to bring new and innovative products to the marketplace.”
