CKU...Gaylord...The Girl's Loft...

Long time no blog...I have been busy...I can't believe it's been well over a week that I blogged! Wink wink! I have to say the last week was a roller coaster in many ways... For me personally, for our family and in my "career." That still feels so odd to say...Laugh!

I am sitting in Nashville at the Gaylord hotel...It is HUGE...It is a city! I am amazed every time I come here and this is my 3rd or 4th time, can't remember...But man I get lost...LOL And I have no one to lead me around like the puppy I am! I carry a map...Whatever...Last night after having dinner with my dear darling friend Candice we parted and it took me like 20 minutes to find my way...Helllllp! (what a dork walking in circles) lol

I love CKU! I love the women who have taken the time and money and all the effort it takes to come to this event! I love love love the women who run this show! I have been working with them for 6 years now and have loved every event, every CKU I have attended! 

The Gaylord is special...I know I have said this before, but I LOVE southern women...I secretly wish I was a women of the south...Sweet and SAssy!

I loved the Yayas and want to be one...I am excited to see old friends and make some new ones! Another great thing about teaching at CKU is I get to teach with some of my very favorite people! Tim & Mario will be here today! Teresa too...So love the idea of spending time with them...I am so grateful and pinch myself every time I "get" to do this! I LOVE teaching...It's the frosting ladies...(and like 2 men who read my blog)

So I said roller coaster...Whew! When I say roller coaster I am talking slowly climbing up hearing the click clack of the wooden slats, heart pumping and sweaty palms kind of pee your pants  antisipation...Then there is the ride down...The hands in the air, screaming anxiety, whip lash around the curves and back up to the top again...That is what kind of week I have had...I am so excited about the response to the Girl's Loft...Wow! Really? Thank YOU all...I have to say starting my own business has always been a dream...You know like a romantic idea? A handsome prince, winning the lottery, 6 carat diamond ring type of dream...I have my prince (Grant Aslett) knowing that I am starting my own business and being able to do it with my 2 best friends, my daughters and all of YOU is better than all that other stuff...Diamonds, money, romance...That's what it's all about for me...A Girl with a dream sharing it with other girls who love what they do with paper and "stuff" I am happy...I am excited...I am nervous...I am scared...I am in that pee your pants mode, for all these reasons...

So what I thought while Mom's away...The "girls" can play...Let's do another give-away! I know we all love FREE stuff...I do! Because the last give-away was so fun I think I will do it again! When you are the boss you get to do stuff like this! Wink wink!

This is BIG...

It's a give away....

And inspired...What an amazing event! Donna Thank you Thank YOU! I LOVED this experience! I loved every minute of it! The classes were amazing...The teachers were amazing...Making new creative friends was fabulous! Opening myself up to new ways of creating was just what I needed...Thank  you Christy for pushing me! Thanks to Mel & Christy for all your words of support and friendship...We had so many great conversations and late night talks...Who needs sleep? LOL I can't tell you just how much this event has changed my way of thinking...of creating...Thank YOU Donna for the invite! Awesome!...I hope all of you who have thought is this kind of event for me...the answer is yes! See you there next year!
    Home...love the sound of that...I will be home for 2 full weeks! LOVE it! LOVE it...
Today I am working on my CKU album...So fun! LOVE Scenic Route! Always have! LOVE the paper! I am also going to finish up my inspired projects this week! Lot's going on...Got my new business cards while I was away...So freaky cute! LOVE them...I will take some shots and load them tomorrow!

Today was great! Off to Inspired in the AM...

Just wanted to thank all of you for your words of support today either here on my blog or on my twitter and Facebook! YOU are all awesome...Feels good to know that I have some friends out there excited to see what my next big thing will be...Let's just say...I have a few things in the works! I will be announcing one very soon and the other...Well, you'll just have to be patient on that one! Have to nail down some details and other "stuff" but know that I am back...It feels good and LOVE that YOU will all be along with me!
Well it's Thursday now! Happy Thursday! I am off in a few hours to Donna's inspired event! It's going to be awesome...So many fun friends are going to be there and so many new friends...LOVE LOVE LOVE that about this gig...

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

The Aslett's LOVE Cinco De Mayo! Tonight we will be eating a delicious Mexican dinner! (i'm not cooking)
Grant is out of town, so the kids and I will have to carry on without him! LOL Going to Mexico has been one of our favorite places to go...So because of the "Swine" flu we will stay home and do our best to celebrate!

Scrap Etc Atlanta was a rockin' good time!

I just got home this afternoon from an amazing event! Thank YOU Lucy and your amazing staff!
I can't even begin to say how much fun I had! What an incredible group of women! Like I said...I LOVE LOVE LOVE southern women! I am so grateful for the experience I had this weekend...My classes went off without a hitch! There was plenty of paint and color and FUN! I loved seeing old friends and meeting new ones...These women are friends for life...
On Saturday night we had a little auction for Brest cancer research...Brittany and her team are doing a 3 day 60 mile run! (awesome) so I had this little cute apron right...Well we decided to auction it off...It was amazing...The bid kept going higher and higher until we reached $400...Yes that is what I said! $400 Fabulous! This sweet darling lady ended up with my little cute apron! It was all for the "tatas" By the end of the evening in whole we raised over $4000! Like I said...Fabulous! Amazing!
Great weekend...Great friends...Great time...
