Ok ok ok...i know...i have not blogged in days, weeks...i could make excuses, but to be honest, i just have been a little in the dumps since we returned. Tons going on here at home. i hate blogging when i feel like all i have to say is crap...Know what i mean? i like being an up-beat happy person. i do. So, i have waited to blog. First of all let me start with this...
Grant Aslett and i had the best time in AU...The best! We loved the country and the women there were a delight! So kind, so giving and so excited about scrapbooking...Totally loved it...LOVE LOVE LOVED it! Thank you to all the women and one man and 2 darling little girl scrappers who took my class! LOVED meeting you and playing with fun new product together!
A huge thank you has to go out to all that were involved in me being there...The event was so well taken care of and organized! A special thanks to Kirsten who took great personal care of me! How cute is she? And don't mind me...My curling iron exploded like the third day in AU so i had the ugliest hair...lol
Had the best time! Thank you thank you...
Got home from AU and seriously it has taken me a week just to get back on a normal sleeping schedule! As if i have one, especially when the kids are out of school...They think every day is a weekend...little buggers! Summer is in full bloom here...Megan, Brooke are working...Max has a job working for my parents, he is their lawn and yard boy. He is playing Summer baseball so that is keeping him busy too. Griffy had his 14th birthday Saturday! He is such a little character...He left this morning at 4:AM for scout camp...Yes i said 4:00 AM what the H...Anyway he returns home Saturday night leaves Sunday afternoon for California for EFY (Especially for Youth) for a week in Santa Barbara with his BFF from Arizona then he is going to spend a week at his home in Carmel...So my little rump will be gone for 3 weeks! Yikes! He is so excited though! We (the kids) are so busy we don't really have any major summer vacations planned...odd, kids grow up and get busy...
Work is going great...We have sooooooooo many great things for CHA Summer in a few weeks...LOVE the new lines we are showing...Just great stuff...So excited and proud of the work that we are doing at MM right now...The team is in the groove! Busy as Satan working hard but putting out some killer stuff! Go Team!
Before i end my post today, i want to end on a personal note so forgive me, i normally try to keep my most personal "stuff" to myself, but so many of you have been so supportive of me and have asked and e-mailed me about your personal experiences, i just thought i would share this.
Jaden was taken from us the day we left for AU. May 31st. His paternal grandparents have him now. We were devastated by the decision. It was a huge blow to all of our family Sarah included. The birth father has not spent more that 30 minutes with Jaden and is still not a part of his life in any way. It really has been hardest on me. When you agree to bring a baby into your home there is no way to not fall in love, treat him as your own. That is what we did. This is not a permanent decision. It is temporary. But hurts the same. Thank you to all of you who have lent your support, i appreciate it more than i can say!
